Weather Center

Living in Florida is wonderful for many reasons, but perhaps the most breathtaking one is our unlimited access to the natural world around us. We are surrounded on three sides by crystal blue water, and enjoy a lush green tropical environment 12 months of the year. While we can consider ourselves fortunate to live in such an amazing place, we must also learn to understand and respect the weather conditions here. Hurricanes and fires are as much a part of our natural climate as the ocean and palm trees. To prepare our community for weather emergencies is part of our responsibility at the Utilities Commission. Here you will find some helpful information on hurricane and drought conditions. Please do not wait for an emergency to prepare. Have a plan ready for your entire family so if a strong weather event occurs, you will be able to protect your life and property.
