Call BEFORE You Dig – It is the LAW

It can be very dangerous to dig in unmarked areas because many utility lines are buried underground. You may be injured or killed if you unknowingly come into contact with these service lines. In addition, if you damage the lines, you may be liable for any costs associated with their repair.

It is the law that you must call the Florida’s Sunshine State One Call service at 1-800-432-4770 to find out where electric, gas, water, wastewater, television and telephone lines are buried before you dig. All member utility operators in the area will respond within 48 hours and come out to mark the location of their lines.
