The UC's contractors are working throughout our service area to line the sanitary sewer pipe throughout our sewer system. The project, which reduces infiltration of groundwater, helps to extend the life of the vitrified clay sewer mains, some of which date back to the 1960s. The trenchless technology being utilized saves money and helps prevent customer distrubances. The $2 million annual project funding is from the UC's Capital Budget, and is scheduled to continue over the next three years.
The contractors are currently working on beachside, in the area of 24th Avenue to Schoolway, from the river to the ocean. Questions? Please contact Project Engineer Dana Hale at 386-424-3037.
